SpaceClaim version 2011 er netop frigivet og der har været stor fokus på at optimere tyndplademodulet til industrielt brug, udviklingen har været i tæt samarbejde med TRUMPF, der vil basere deres næste generation af software på SpaceClaim. Samtidig har den danske forhandler af SpaceClaim, CADSYS Scandinavia ApS indgået et samarbejde med den franske virksomhed CATALCAD, der har lavet et plug-in til SpaceClaim til udfoldning af dobbelt krumme flader.
Direktør Ricco Busk fra den danske forhandler, CADSYS Scandinavia ApS udtaler ” resultatet af SpaceClaims samarbejde med TRUMPF har givet os et af de stærkeste tyndplade designværktøjer på markedet, vi kan ikke bare designe tyndplade produkter hurtigere og mere produktionsteknisk korrekt, vi kan også tage andres filformater direkte ind og modificere dem således, at de passer til vores kunders produktionsudstyr. Det er en stor gevinst for vores kunder, der i mange tilfælde stadig må nøjes med at modtage 2D file. Vi har endvidere fået et godt samarbejde med CATALCAD i Frankring, der gør, at vi nu direkte kan udfolde meget komplekse flader”.
SpaceClaim 2011 er også forbedret på surface modelleringssiden og der har været stor fokus på ikke blot at tilføje nye knapper men at bibeholde intuitiviteten i produktet således, at det stadig er nemt og hurtigt at arbejde i 3D uden at være ekspertbruger. SpaceClaim 2011 er også opdateret i forhold til at importere/ reparere og editere i filer fra andre CAD formater. Importering af scannede data er også forbedret således, at man nu direkte kan genbruge dele af scannede geometrier til nemt at bygge en solid geometri.
SpaceClaim bibeholder deres fokus på at udvide adgangen til at anvende 3D i sine arbejdsgange omkring den detaljerede designfase og har fokusområder på konceptmodellering, fremstillingsprocessor som CAM programmering og fremstilling af fixturer og opspændinger samt tyndpladebranchen.
CADSYS Scandinavia ApS vil vise produktet frem på Værktøjsmaskiner 2011 i Odense, hvor de deler stand med Pedersen Maskiner A/S, her vil de også vise nyheder i SolidCAM og InventorCAM.

SpaceClaim's cooperation with TRUMPF bear fruit, all in sheet metal industry can reap.
SpaceClaim 2011 version was just released and there has been considerable focus on optimizing the Sheet-metal module for industrial use, it has been developed in close cooperation with TRUMPF, who will base their next generation software on SpaceClaim. At the same time, the Scandinavian distributor of SpaceClaim, CADSYS Scandinavia ApS partnered with the French company, CATALCAD, who have created a plug-in for SpaceClaim to unfolding of double curved surfaces.
Director Ricco Busk from the Scandinavian distributor CADSYS Scandinavia ApS says "the result of SpaceClaim cooperation with TRUMPF has given us one of the most powerful sheet metal design tools on the market, we can not just design sheet metal products faster and more technically correct, we can also take other file formats directly and modify them so that they fit our customers' manufacturing equipment. It is a huge win for our customers, which in many cases still have to make do with receiving 2D file. We also had good cooperation with CATALCAD in France, which means that we now can directly unfold very complex surfaces. "
SpaceClaim 2011 has also improved in surface modeling, and there has been considerable focus on not just adding new buttons but to retain “ease of use” in the product so that it's still easy and fast to work in 3D without being an expert user. SpaceClaim 2011 is also updated in relation to import / repair and edit files from other CAD formats. Importing scanned data is also improved so that they now can directly reuse parts of scanned geometries to easily build a solid geometry.
SpaceClaim maintain their focus on expanding access to use 3D in their workflows around the detailed design phase and focus on conceptual modeling, manufacturing processor as CAM programming and production of fixtures and fixtures and sheet metal industry.
